Amanda Kimbrough

Amanda Kimbrough is a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Blount Undergraduate Initiative and New College with a depth study in creative studies. She loves to get involved with things that she feels passionate about. She has worked in a number of research labs in the psychology department such as the Sleep Lab, Kid Lab, and Social Interactions Lab. She also volunteers for the Women's Resource Center and at Partlow Center for Developmental Disorders, and is an active member in honors organizations such as Psy Chi and the Mallet Assembly.

Amanda loves music. She feels that it can make a good day great or a bad day bearable and thinks that it just all depends if you are to take a time out to find some beauty in the bass lines. Because she feels that good music can absolutely melt the rest of the world away, she will always make time to take in an awesome concert. She also loves traveling, movies, and theater. Amanda thinks bonfires are awesome, disposable cameras are da bomb, and the nineties were ballin. She thinks she could give up her iPod for a cassette walkman if she got to use phrases such as "bodacious babe" and people would think it was normal. Amanda likes being barefoot and doesn't believe in cleaning. Driving should be done on beautiful summer days with the radio up, windows down, sunroof open, and her foot on the dashboard. She enjoys spontaneity especially if it is for a road trip.  Unfortunately, Amanda has no magical powers, but she has not ruled out the possibility just yet.
