Druid City Arts Festival - 2012
1/24/12
Druid City Arts Festival is a regional celebration of original arts and music. This multi-genre, two-day festival will culminate on Saturday, March 24, 2012 in a free, all-day, all-ages festival from 11am to 7pm in Government Plaza in downtown Tuscaloosa, Al. The daylong celebration will be preceded by an evening music crawl on Friday, March 23, 2012. The 19 and up nighttime portion is a partnership between DCAF and selected venues across town which are showcasing adjudicated musical acts.
Now in its third year, The Druid City Arts Festival has had great success in introducing new music and visual artists to the Tuscaloosa community. Attendance for the festival’s first year reached nearly 4,000.
DCAF aims to highlight artists within Tuscaloosa and the surrounding area through a large, interactive community event. The festival seeks to encourage community members to embrace diversity within Tuscaloosa by finding the common bonds that inherently exist through the enjoyment of the arts.
