Hank Lazer

Hank Lazer can be found at the highest point of the original campus, Maxwell Hall. It is his pleasure to work with students (and faculty and staff) to help them turn their most creative ideas into collaborative action. He is the author of 17 books of poetry and several books of essays. In addition to his work with the Creative Campus Initiative, as Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, he works with a number of other areas on campus including the University of Alabama Press and the Office for Disability Services. He grew up in California and graduated from Stanford University and the University of Virginia. A Professor of English, he has been at The University of Alabama since 1977.
