Keith Sawyer will present concepts from his recent book Group Genius in an interactive presentation titled “Educating for Innovation.” Sawyer uses examples from improv theatre and jazz as illustrations of a phenomenon he terms “Group Flow.” Sawyer uses scientific research to stake claim that collaborative creativity can be harnessed and learned as an art form that can influence business, science, engineering and life. Sawyer is presented jointly by Creative Campus, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Culverhouse College of Commerce, the College of Engineering and in collaboration with Auburn University.
