An idea of Creative Campus collaborator, Andrew Dewar. Here's a snipit of Dewar's original proposal for this project: "As part of the "finale" week of the improvisor festival, I'm interested in putting together a performance at Moundville of improvised music and dance, sometime during the last week of August, with myself, Asheville, NC based dancer/choreographer Elizabeth Claire Barratt, Chattanooga, TN based bassist Evan Lipson, and LaDonna Smith -- possibly others, too...I think it would be interesting to have dancers on various mounds throughout the field, with the music on one with the audience members." After confering with the tribal council and Moundville's management team, the event has been approved and will take place as imagined.
