It starts with an idea... A conversation with student, faculty, or community member, igniting a concept. Using that concept as common ground, we work together with many different areas to achieve a united goal. Not only do projects range from bringing creativity experts like Sir Ken Robinson and Daniel Pink to screenwriter/graphic novelist Neil Gaiman to campus, but also focuses on community cultural development such as working with the Boys and Girls Club of West Alabama to establishing the Black Warrior Storytelling Festival featuring Alabama story tellers. Exploring the intersection of arts and technology with the Tech-Is-Art Expo and challenging UA students to want more is our call.
