Get Involved, Get Creative!
Creative Campus held Get Creative Night on August 25, 2009 in Maxwell Hall on the campus of the University of Alabama. A showcase of student artwork and a chance for UA students to find out how to get involved in the arts, no matter their major, Get Creative Night featured over seventy pieces of student-created visual art and three hours of over twenty student performers. Attendees were also given Creative Campus’s “Guide to Arts Participation,” a handout listing many different ways students can get involved in the arts on UA’s campus, ranging from theatre to film to music. Over one hundred students, faculty, staff, and Tuscaloosa community members came out to support student expression, while finding out more about UA’s vibrant art scene.
Get Creative Night was part of the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership’s “Student Involvement Week.”
