Senses of Creativity Artist Submission Form

Senses of Creativity is a juried art show that showcases interactive works of art that blend two or more senses. The event is free to the public and to participants as well. The event will be held at Grace Aberdean Habitat Alchemy in downtown Tuscaloosa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on February 3, 2012. Art will be judged in two categories: UA students and Tuscaloosa community members. Prizes will be given at the end of the night.

Want to be involved? Create artwork inspired by one sense and translated into another such as choreographing a dance that is inspired by the Mona Lisa. Paint a masterpiece while listening to a heavy metal song. Write a poem and record an original song to compliment it. The sky is the limit! Submissions can be in any media imaginable including paint, wood, vocals, spices, or computers. Have questions about your idea for artistic expression? Contact us at SensesOfCreativity@gmail.com. Artists are asked to write an artist’s statement describing their inspiration and artistic process, as well as a little background information about themselves.

Submissions are due January 20, 2012. No more than three submissions will be allowed per artist. All submissions are subject to review.
