Think Pink Arts Fair
Tue, 09/12/2006 - 11:00pm
Creative Campus kicked of the 2006-07 academic year on September 13 with the "Think Pink Arts Fair," a lunch and arts experience on the UA Quad co-sponsored by the Ferguson Center Student Union. The Arts Fair coincided with a lecture by WIRED magazine editor Daniel Pink, who spoke that evening in Moody Concert Hall about his new book "A Whole New Mind." The book highlights the elements of play, design, story, symphony, empathy, and meaning, each of which served as a launching pad for "pods" at the fair. Each pod presented a venue for students from various University departments and organizations to demonstrate their talents, as well as for students attending the event to participate in creative activities themselves. Demonstrations represented a wide variety of disciplines, including book arts, creative writing, dance, music, visual arts and yoga.
